Bump! is the world’s first and most watched gay and lesbian travel television series. Broadcast internationally, the show features the informative, practical and entertaining travel adventures of sexy gay soap star Charlie David, acclaimed lesbian playwright Shannon McDonough and model J.R. Anderson. Catering to the discriminating tastes of the gay traveler, each installment of the series presents a new gay-friendly destination in a stylish and upbeat format. Viewers are taken on a personal tour of each locale, including interviews with local celebrities, personalities, gay icons and passersby to give the viewer an accurate and entertaining perspective they can relate to. Bump! also delves into the always-intriguing (and often risqué) social scene of the destination. From coffeehouses, beaches, historical sites, nightclubs, gay shopping, circuit parties and more, the show explores where and how people connect for fun and love. Each episode gives a travelogue of the location, covering attractions, neighborhoods and events — all from a gay perspective.

New York 2:
Often called "The Capital Of The World", New York City has been the Emerald City for gays and lesbians from all around the world for years. In fact, there is so much to see and do for the GLBT traveler that it took us two episodes to barely scratch the surface.
In part two Shannon's off to chat with Sara Cedar Miller of The Central Park Conservancy to get a history lesson on this world-famous park (and to find out where the best cruising spots are). Then we head across the bridge to Park Slope, Brooklyn to find out why this enclave has more lesbian residents than any other zip code in America. Local lesbian and Brooklyn enthusiast Chris Cuomo takes Shannon on a tour before they attend the biggest lesbian sunday brunch this side of the East River. Next, we speak with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Executive Director Tom Viola about their biggest annual theatrical fundraising events, assisting those living with AIDS and HIV. Gay men around the world tune into HBO every week to watch Sex In The City; out guide Georgette Blau takes us inside some of the au courant eateries, shops, and bars that have appeared in the hit series. New York is synonymous with fashion and home to the headquarters of 2(x)ist underwear, where we drop by and "examine" why their skivvies are so popular with gay men. And, we come full circle back to Times Square, where gay men used to go in search of underground sex. Tim Tompkins, president of the Time Square Business Improvement District describes how this pulsing crossroads has been scrubbed shiny and clean over the past few years.
Philadelphia:
Philadelphia, the "City Of Brotherly Love And Sisterly Affection" welcomes Shannon and the Bump! crew with open arms. We see history in motion as we set out on a whirlwind tour of Philadelphia's historical sites. When hunger pangs hit, hundreds of locals and tourists head to Pat's each day to order the famed Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and Shannon goes behind the counter to serve up this Philadelphia tradition. Each year, Philadelphia plays host to PrideFest America as well as the Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. View the work of queer artists in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum Of Art. See why The Reading Terminal Market is a great cruising spot for gay men as well as the second most popular tourist attraction in the city. Pump iron at Philadelphia's largest and gayest fitness complex, The 12th Street Gym, before taking in the sights and sounds of The Blue Ball. All this, before we call it a day and check out a couple of Philadelphia's gay-owned and gay-friendly hotels.
Washington D.C.:
Washington, D.C. is the U.S. national capital, home to major institutions such as the Pentagon and the Smithsonian Institute. The gay community has had a huge presence here, as the city was the site of four historic marches for gay rights where upwards of a million protesters congregated on the mall in front of the Capital Building. Bump! starts off this episode touring Washington's gay neighborhoods; Dupont Circle is where the boys hang out, while the lesbians have taken over the Capital Hill district. Next, we get fit at the gym Results, a favourite with gay men, and then as a reward we go on a shopping spree for cool clothes, gear, and tchotchkes. Washington is a city of landmarks, and we take in some of the major monuments like the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Patrick Menasco talks about the Cherry Party, a circuit extravaganza that raises more than $100,000 each year for GLBT charities, and Danny Linden invites us to Mid-Atlantic Leather which started out in 1975 as a cocktail party and has grown into a full weekend of festivities for the leather community. We wrap up this visit with a whirlwind look at some restaurants, bars, clubs, and places to stay that roll out the welcome mat for the gay traveler.
